Israeli M-15 Civilian Gas Mask

Our #1
Mask... THE WRIGHT CHOICE!
|
Advantages |
Disadvantages |
- The Israeli M-15, manufactured by Shalon
Industries, is the #1 accepted mask in the
world, making it the industry standard. A Proven Product!
- One Size fits all adults. Special powered air
units
available for children.
- Very cost effective in comparison to all
escape hoods. Cost for escape
hoods range from $165.00 to $200.00.
- While the initial cost of the Israeli mask is
similar to that of an escape hood, a sealed replacement cartridge cost $30.00
.
- Due to the design of the escape hood being
completely sealed, replacement of the cartridge component is not an
option. Once an escape hood has been opened from it's sealed container
it cannot be reused and must be replaced. False alarms become very
expensive.
- According to manufacturer specifications, if the
escape hood is not used during its stated shelf life of four years from
the date of manufacture,
you must replace the entire product. Note: Length of time on
either manufacturer or distributor shelf is critical.
- Escape hoods are new, and while they have been tested
they have yet to be proven.
- The Israeli M-15 mask can be used as an escape
mask.
- Disposable escape hoods, due to their design, are
more expensive in comparison to the Israeli mask with replaceable
cartridge.
- How long will terrorist threats continue ...
protect this costly investment.
|
- The Israeli M-15 mask cannot be worn if you
have facial
hair. You must be clean shaven to obtain a proper seal with your
mask; failure to obtain a proper fit renders you unprotected.
Thus an escape hood is recommended since the sealing area is at the
neck, thus providing a proper seal when one has facial hair.

Product Specifications: Israeli
M-15 Child and Infant Protection

The Inpro and Respro are positive-pressure hooded
respirator systems developed in conjunction with the Israel Defense Forces,
designed to protect infants and children from nuclear, biological and
chemical (NBC) agents for extended periods of time in the event of an
emergency. Both respiratory systems utilize a battery-operated
blower to supply a constant flow of filtered air to the hoods.
Inpro—for Infants and Toddlers up to 3
Years
The Inpro affords effective respiratory protection
during NBC emergencies for toddlers and infants for extended periods,
while assuring maximum comfort and allowing normal activity for the infant
(eating, lying down, walking, playing) and for the parents (carrying,
feeding and diapering the infant, and comforting with pacifier).
Key Features:
Inpro consists of:
- Head and body covering made of strong
impermeable and transparent plastic laminate—allows unobscured
view of the infant. The cover includes:
- Two strong and secure plastic zippers for
quick and easy positioning or removal of the infant.
- Integrated feeding nipple (feeding bottle
is supplied with the system).
- Flexible rubber hose for directing
filtered air into the protector.
- Support system—soft, comfortable,
cushioning material on a rigid plastic ”carrier”.
- Compact and reliable air supply unit—blower
draws in ambient air through the filter canister and delivers it
into the protector under positive pressure. The unit consists of:
- A highly efficient miniature blower
enclosed in a durable polycarbonate housing.
- Four lithium-MnO2 batteries.
- Specially designed filter canister
adaptor.
- Brightly colored strap system—for
safely securing and carrying the infant.
- Highly protective plastic storage case.
Respro—for Children Ages 2–8 Years
The Respro is specially designed to provide
respiratory protection to small children during NBC emergencies with
optimal simplicity, comfort and safety, assuring extended use with minimal
interference in normal activities.
Key Features:
Respro consists of three main integral sub-systems:
- Light and flexible impermeable hood
—includes:
- Large optical grade visor.
- Drinking system for safe fluid intake in
contaminated environments.
- Comfortable and easily adjustable head harness
and neck strap, with elastic webbings.
- Flexible rubber hose for directing filtered air
into the hood.
- Compact and reliable air supply unit—blower
draws in ambient air through the filter canister and delivers it into
the hood under positive pressure. The unit consists of:
- A highly efficient miniature blower enclosed in
a durable polycarbonate housing.
- Four lithium-MnO 2 batteries.
- Specially designed filter canister adaptor.
- Comfortable and brightly colored vest
—acts as an interface between the hood and the air supply unit and
secures the hood on the child.
Technical Data:
Weight: Respro: 1,200 grams
Inpro: 1,550 grams
